The little girl who Drake visited in hospital on her birthday has successfully received a heart transplant.
Sofia Sanchez became an online hit last week when a video emerged of her receiving a visit from her idol on her birthday.
Yesterday, it was revealed the little girl would get her heart transplant and later it was announced on her GoFundMe page that the transplant had been a success.
The statement said: "Sofia is out of surgery! Surgery went well.

"She received a really good, strong heart. They will keep her asleep for the remainder of the night. Thank you for your prayers."
Sofia won the hearts of millions when she posted a video earlier this month, asking the Candian star to help her celebrate her birthday.
Drake was later filmed visiting the 11-year-old fan, who has cardiomyopathy, an incurable condition which can cause heart failure.

In the heartwarming clip, Drake slipped into the young girl's ward, where they cahtted about Justin Bieber, owls and basketball - you know, all the important things in an 11-year-old's life.
Drake then asks: "You asked me to come, I'm here. You wanna give me a hug or what?"
It goes without saying that Sofia jumped at the chance to embrace her hero and we challenge anyone not to shed at least one tiny tear.
Sofia was first spotted by Drake when she recorded her own version of the Kiki Challenge using her wheelchair instead of a car.
While the Nice for What singer was on tour in Chicago he decided the least he could do was pay his poorly fan a visit at the children's hospital.

Speaking after the meeting, Sofia's cardiologist, Dr Bradley Marino, said: "Having this one special day where she doesn't have to be a sick patient and doesn't have to be a girl waiting for a heart, it's just a little girl who's a fan of a great artist, it's pretty special."
Though meeting Drake made her day, Sofia has now received the ultimate birthday present - the gift of life.
Sofia will now spend around six to eight weeks recovering from the serious procedure with her family.
The Chicago Sun Times reported she will hopefully be home in time for Thanksgiving.

On a GoFundMe page set up for Sofia, the family shared the good news, while also asking for prayers for the donor's family who 'unselfishly donated a heart for Sofia'.
