One woman has been left absolutely fuming after an old friend texted her out of the blue asking for a pretty big favour.
The woman and her mate hadn't chatted in almost a year, yet the friend deemed it totally fine to reach out asking to borrow some money.
The whole thing started off with the greeting I'm sure we're all too familiar with: "Hey hun..."
According to screenshots of the exchanges posted by the woman to Facebook, the friend casually started off the interaction with: "Hey hun I couldn’t possibly ask for a money favour till Tuesday?"

No sign of some courteous small talk and chit-chat could be found.
Clearly miffed by the brazen request, the woman replied: "No. You haven’t spoken to me in almost a year and now you want to borrow money?"
The friend explained she needed the money due to health reasons, claiming she had suffered partial vision loss due to a chronic condition.

"I’m sorry I just really needed something that’s important," she penned. "I wouldn’t want to ask.
"For those five months, I was in hospital for my vision and I couldn’t see anything. Now I only have a quarter of my vision in my left eye."

She then took it that one step further and told the woman: "You should be thankful you have your vision."
Replying to the bizarre statement, the woman clarified: "I am thankful I have my vision.
"Good for you, you don’t realise how hard it is," the friend hit back.

Sticking to her guns, the woman reiterated: "But I’m still not lending you money.
"Besides I don’t have money to lend out."
Shockingly carrying on with the sass, the woman responded: "Fine well I’m not going to waste my last bit of data then. I have no credit as it is okay hun."

Clearly unbothered by the woman's attempts to 'guilt-trip' her, the woman text back with a simple yet effective: "Ok bye."
This was when things clearly took a turn with the friend slamming the woman for being 'so rude'.
"You wouldn’t last a day in my shoes," she went on. "Sorry my life isn’t perfect and I didn’t contact you, but I barely contacted anyone when I was in a mental state and had no vision."
Defending herself, the woman then struck back: "I'm rude? You haven’t spoken to me since last December then you message me out of the blue not even asking how I’m doing or anything like that — and just straight up asked to borrow money.
"I get you have problems with health but that doesn’t make it OK."
The friend then claimed she was going to ask how the woman was doing, adding: "I have a lot of problems, neurological problems, auto-immune problems, now I've got functional neurological disorder."
"Okay well I’m sorry to hear that," the woman sympathised. "But unfortunately I don’t have money to lend."
The whole thing finally came to an end when the friend resolved: "It’s all good I was just stating my life is not easy. I had perfect vision one day and woke up with no vision."
