Woman left in stitches after daughter used ‘world’s most inappropriate hat’ on her dolls

The internet has been left in absolute hysterics over the mix-up

Any parent out there will know that their little ones can get up to all sorts when their backs are turned.

From eating food they shouldn't to going through your expensive makeup stash - it's clear that kids have a mind of their own - regardless of usual social etiquette.

Now, while it may be frustrating most of the time, you can't deny that it can be pretty funny to stumble upon the weird and wonderful workings of your child's mind.

And that was exactly the case for one mum who was left in absolute stitches after her daughter used the 'world’s most inappropriate hat' on her dolls.

British comedian, Carla Freeman who goes by the handle @carlafreemancomedy online, took to TikTok to share the hilarious mix-up with her 55.8k followers.

In the video, Carla told viewers she had gone into her daughter's bedroom and couldn't believe what she stumbled upon in her doll's house.

She showed a 'little mouse scene', but one of the mice was wearing a particularly interesting choice of headwear.

"That is my moon cup," the mum announced.

The overlay text dubbed it the 'world's most inappropriate hat'.

Carla captioned the clip: "I honestly don't know how she got it...

"It’s right at the back of our bathroom cupboard..."

Hundreds have since rushed in to share their reactions to the hilarious blunder with many sharing their own moon cup anecdotes.

One TikTok user revealed: "I’m about 95 per cent certain my old moon cup ended up in a bag of stuff that went to charity."

"My son took mine to nursery as an actual hat! Because my husband didn’t know what it was, so let him!" admitted a second.

A third shared: "I once found mine in my daughter's play kitchen - she was using it as a cup for her doll!"

"My daughter found mine as was using it to drink water from!" echoed a fourth. "I found a better hiding place after that!"

Others praised the daughter's, um, outside-of-the-box thinking.

"Ma’am you’re wrong. That is a fancy hat!" joked one.

A second chimed in: "Nooo that is a mouse hat!"

"It’s a moon hat now," quipped a third, while a fourth piped up: "I mean it does look like a little hat I guess in her defence!"

Another echoed: "Brilliant! The perfect hat!"

And, a final TikTok user added what I'm sure we're all thinking: "Absolutely p*ssing myself laughing."
