The Met Office has forecast that an Indian summer could be on its way to Britain.
After a couple of months of unusually warm weather rather than the soggy skies that us Brits usually call summer, the rain has returned back to the UK.
But meteorologists are now predicting that this damp spell won't last for long, as the heatwave will return very soon. Good news for us who can't get enough of the warmer weather, but not so great if you were glad to see the back of it.
We should expect an 'unseasonably warm and dry September', according to The Met Office, and temperatures are set to be higher than average during the autumnal month.

"Wednesday's cold front sees rain break up as it moves south, but high pressure from Thursday sees most places dry with sunny spells," Met Office forecaster Emma Smith told The Mirror.
She added that the incoming warm weather will be expected to last for a while, and temperatures could be in the low or mid-20s right up until the end of the month. But according to the The Weather Outlook, temperatures could hit as high as 30C.
The average temperature in the UK in September is usually around 16C, meaning it will be a fair bit hotter than what we would usually get at this point in the year.
Other outlets are reporting that it's likely that the sunshine will continue into November, giving us an Indian Summer, aka a period of unusually dry and warm weather in autumn time.

Forecasters are saying that there is a 80 to 100 per cent chance the weather will brighten up, so don't put your bikinis away just yet.
