ASDA Is Selling A Gordon's Pink Gin Cake

ASDA Is Selling A Gordon's Pink Gin Cake

Gordon’s has branched out to launch a brand-new premium pink gin cake.

If you have ever been faced with choosing between pink gin or cake (god forbid), Gordon's has created the perfect solution.

Yep, Gin company Gordon's has branched out into the world of baking with the launch of its new premium pink gin cake - and it looks mouthwateringly good.

In partnership with the baking company Finsbury Food Group, Gordon’s has taken inspiration from the hugely popular ombre trend to create an Insta-worthy pink cake, ready to take picnic parties and birthdays by storm this summer.

What better way to enjoy a scrumptious slice of cake and a refreshing glass of gin this summer, than by combining the two!

This succulent layer cake comprises of pink and white sponge, raspberry jam filling and is topped with Gordon’s Premium Pink flavoured frosting, opulent edible sugar pearls and dried raspberries. The perfect centrepiece for any occasion this summer - or you can save it all for yourself!

Asda customers are able to grab one of the pink gin cakes in store and online right now for £12.

This isn't the first time Finsbury Food Group has partnered up with another company to make alcholol-infused cakes based on some of our favourite flavours.

Baileys worked with Finsbury Food Group last year to make a boozy marbled cake which was billed as "a classic chocolate and marbled sponge filled and topped with Baileys flavoured frosting, complete with a modern, stylish marble effect blended around the outside."

Declan Hassett, Senior Licensing Manager at Diageo, added: “We wanted to create something really different and special for our customers. There was no better choice than partnering with Finsbury to make our cake dreams a reality.”

While Emma Hamilton, Brand Manager for Finsbury Food Group, said: “We’ve worked with Diageo for many years and have seen huge success when we’ve previously married together their well-loved drinks with our expertise in crafting beautiful cakes.

"At Finsbury we are always looking for ways to bring innovation into the cake category, and excite the public with the launch of new products that they’ve never seen before."
