Lady Gaga is in talks to star in a brand new movie based on the Gucci family - and it already sounds SO good.
The 'Stupid Love' singer is reportedly in the middle of discussions with producers working on the drama - which is set to be based on the murder of fashion designer Guccio Gucci's grandson, Maurizio Gucci.

Maurizio - the last of the Gucci dynasty to run the luxury fashion house - was shot dead by a hitman on the steps of his office in 1995.
Gaga has been lined up to play his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, who was tried and convicted of plotting his assassination.
Maurizio broken up with Reggiani and she had openly threatened to kill him after their split.

Naturally, after his murder, Reggiani was a prime suspect, however, there was not enough evidence to convict her and the crime went unsolved for nearly two years.
Finally, a tip-off lead to her arrest in 1997, as well four others involved including the hitman.
Reggiani served 18 years for the murder-for-hire, and was finally released in 2016. After her conviction, the media dubbed Reggiani 'Vedova Nera' - the Black Widow.

Gaga - who made her breakout role in A Star Is Born, winning her a Best Actress nomination - was first linked to the project in November 2019, however last week MGM bought the rights to the drama, which is expected to premiere in November 2021.
Famed director Ridley Scott is taking on directing duties, while his wife Giannina Scott will co-produce.
The film is set to be based on Sara Gay Forden's book, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed, which tells the scandalous tales of the fashionable family.

We'll definitely be rushing to the cinema when this comes out - *especially* if Gaga is involved.
