Awards season is upon us, and the Oscar nominations for the 91st annual Academy Awards have been revealed in full, with Lady Gaga being put forward in two different categories for A Star Is Born.

The singer-songwriter turned actress has been nominated in the 'Best Song' and 'Best Actress' categories at the 2019 Oscars for her roles in the 2018 flick with Bradley Cooper.

Gaga is up against Yalitza Aparicio in Roma, Glenn Close in The Wife, Olivia Colman in The Favourite and Melissa McCarthy in Can You Ever Forgive Me? for the 'Best Actress' award.

Also nominated in this category is 'All the Stars' by Kendrick Lamar and SZA's from Black Panther, Diane Warren's 'I'll Fight' for RBG, 'The Place Where Lost Things Go' in Mary Poppins Returns, and David Rawlings and Gillian Welch's 'When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings' from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

Gaga is following in the footsteps of Mary J. Blige to be nominated in an acting and 'Best Song' category in the same year for the same film. Mary was nominated last year for 'Best Supporting Actress' for her role in Mudbound and her musical contribution to the film 'Mighty River' was put up for 'Best Song'.

Gaga has not yet commented on the nomination announcements on her social media platforms yet, although she's bound to be over the moon.

Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, tied for an award at the Critics Choice Awards with Glenn Close.

And song 'Shallow' from A Star Is Born won at the Golden Globes as well as at the Critics Choice Awards, so it might not come as a surprise to see the tune nominated for an Academy Award nor will it be if it wins the category.
