Making A Murderer lawyer Kathleen Zellner has claimed she has new evidence that could flip the case on its head and prove Steven Avery's innocence.
Attorney Kathleen, who has one of the highest success rates for overturning wrongful convictions in the US, took to Twitter to reveal the evidence she claims to have found while fighting Stephen's case in the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach.
The lawyer took on Stephen's case in 2016 after the release of Making A Murderer part one the year before, with her tireless work to free the Manitowoc County resident from jail being documented in 2018's part two of the Netflix series.

In a Twitter thread of 20 posts, Kathleen seemingly pointed the finger at somebody other than Steven and his nephew Brendan Dassey, who was convicted solely on a single confession which his lawyers have always argued to be 'involuntary'.
Instead, Kathleen appeared to allege that Brendan's brother, Bobby Dassey, was the main culprit.
Kick-starting the thread on Thursday, the lawyer tweeted: "Making A Murderer watchers, listen up. I'm going to walk you through what I've learned through my investigation that you didn't see in the show."

Kathleen went on to share another 20 tweets, setting out a timeline of what her team believes happened in 2005, constantly referring to 'our suspect'.
The timeline was contradictory to what the prosecution team put forward during the original trial, with Kathleen saying that Teresa was followed by 'our suspect' - while Steven was in his trailer.

The prosecution claims that Teresa was raped and killed in Steven's trailer, and her remains burned.
"Our suspect gets TH [Teresa Halbach] to pull over. She opened her car's rear cargo door to retrieve her camera, was knocked to the ground and struck with an object," suggested Kathleen. "TH was put in the rear cargo area of the RAV4 and driven back to ASY [Avery scrap yard]."
Kathleen also offered a different account for the physical evidence presented during the trial and addressed during the Netflix docu-series.
Addressing Steven's blood found in Teresa's car, she wrote: "Suspect knew Steven's finger re-bled on 11/3/05 because he observed it.

"Suspect had access to Steven's trailer to remove blood from the sink.
"Only our suspect knew the blood in the sink was Steven's and not TH's (this rules out the police)."
She alleged that the suspect put the blood in the car, finishing her thread: "In conclusion, the killer is the person who had the access and opportunity to plant Steven Avery's fresh blood in Teresa Halbach's car. Use #AskZellner for questions."
Kathleen went on to reply directly to her followers' questions on her evidence, adding that the "motive was rage fueled by rejection".
