Woman reveals she was ‘sacked’ from job after putting company ‘at risk’ during Christmas party

She opened up about the ordeal on TikTok

'Tis the season to be jolly - and apparently get up to a whole lot of chaos at your Christmas work do.

Now, we all know that the festive period is the time for family, present-giving and Yorkshire puddings galore, but it is also the time some people go absolutely feral at their Christmas office parties.

While some of us may get a little hangxiety from the evening, most people - hopefully - are able to keep a lid on their antics.

However, that was the far from the case for one woman who revealed she was ‘sacked’ from her job after putting the company 'at risk' during her Christmas party. Have a look:

Former nursery worker Molly took to TikTok to open up about the ordeal with the first slide of the clip of the video having the overlay text: "I promise I'll behave at the staff party x," shortly followed with a screenshot of an email she received from her employer.

With the subject line reading 'Termination of contract', the email began: "Dear Molly,

"It is with regret that I must confirm the outcome of my investigation into the events that took place at the staff Christmas party on Saturday evening."

A few lines of text from the email were blacked out but the email continued: "... risked putting the reputation of the nursery into disrepute.

"This amounts to gross misconduct. As you are still on your probationary period, I had no option but to terminate your contract of employment with immediate effect."

Molly took to TikTok to share what happened after her Christmas work do.

The email continued by reminding Molly she had agreed to bring her uniform into nursery before the end of term.

Continuing with the formalities, the employer explained: "You will be paid any holiday that you have accrued along with your hours for this month in your final pay packet on 7th January.

"The holiday amount is yet to be confirmed, but is likely to be over 80 hours."

The email was signed off with a 'best wishes' by the director of the nursery.

Molly's TikTok has since gone viral after clocking up a staggering 2.5 million views in the four days since it was first posted on the platform.

While the comments have been turned off on that particular video, many others have rushed to the comments section on Molly's previous TikToks to demand some answers.

One TikTok user penned: "Girl tell us what you did I beg."

Molly was terminated from her contract immediately.

A second chimed in: "Pls do a story time regarding the Christmas party."

"I need to know what happened at the Christmas party, story time NOWWWWW," demanded a third.

A fourth echoed: "Girl please private message me, I need to know what you did at the Christmas party ahaha."

"I need answers quipped a fifth, while another pleaded: "Can we just know now pleaseeeee!"

A final TikTok user added: "Pls tell what happened I'm so nosy."

Aren't we all.

In a follow-up video posted a couple days ago, Molly somewhat addressed the frenzied reaction with the overlay text reading: "When people comment 'story time' on my recent videos" while shaking her head and finger in a 'no' gesture.

Guess we'll have to just wait and see if she releases another instalment in the saga...
