A Twitter user who goes by the handle @aaryn tweeted her "discovery" about the number of women that have similar beauty spots in the middle of their wrists. Random much?

The viral tweet, which has now been retweeted 20,000 times and liked 52,000 times, saw a huge number of women sharing pictures of their wrist freckles in amazement.

One user with a wrist freckle wrote: "I was like haaaa not me. Then I looked at my left wrist."
While another posted with photographic evidence: "I'm concerned wtf."
"Low key freaking out," shared another alongside a snap of their own freckle.

TOxford Dictionary defines a freckle as a "small patch of light brown colour on the skin, often becoming more pronounced through exposure to the sun".
So it makes sense then that people can get freckles on their wrists as these areas are easily exposed to sunlight, but people were still freaking out in response to the thread.
Some users with multiple freckles on their arms were confused whether theirs would count, and how they could identify which freckle was the right freckle if so.
One user suggested that "the darkest one is THE one!" if you fall into that category.
Turns out this whole wrist freckle thing is not exclusive to just women either as some men have them too, who were just as shocked by the thread.
One guy tweeted "Yooo wtf us guys too," while another simply shared a pic of his wrist freckle on the inside of his arm.
Plenty of Twitter users also replied to the thread with their own conspiracy theories over what the freckles could mean.
And arguably the wildest one put forward suggested that "the government" is responsible and the mark is apparently "where they chip us". Chill out guys, it's just a freckle...
