Woman’s ‘rancid’ habit blasted as she finds mould growth in water bottle

Woman’s ‘rancid’ habit blasted as she finds mould growth in water bottle

This isn't for those with a weak stomach

  • I'm sure many of us have picked up bad habits over the years but it's clear some of our vices are way worse than others.

And one woman proved exactly that after being blasted for her 'rancid' habit after revealing that she found mould growth in water bottle yet still drank from it.

Avery, who goes by the handle @notaverykatherine online, took to TikTok to share with her 832.3k followers a little more about her 'infamous mouldy water bottle'.

"I have a confession to make," she continued. "I have been drinking out of it and there is hella, hella mould in it."

With that said, however, Avery claimed she just didn't 'care', adding: "Call me clinically insane. I just don't care."

She then showed viewers the nozzle area of her water bottle caked in mould , continuing: "You guys might scream."

"Is that bad because I just stay like this," she said while drinking out of the bottle. "I stay drinking it."

Avery also admitted that there was also mould in the straw, calling the state of the water bottle a 'crime scene'.

"It's not that I don't wash it," she carried on, "like I do wash it, but like I don't know what else to do to prevent it."

The TikToker finished off the video adding: "I don't even want to look in this thing. "I guess I'm just gonna cross my fingers and tell us that I don't get mould poisoning."

As the NHS states, moulds produce allergens, irritants and, sometimes, toxic substances. Inhaling or touching mould spores may cause an allergic reaction, such as sneezing, a runny nose, red eyes, skin rash, and in more extreme cases, asthma attacks.

People have since rushed in to share their reactions to the woman's shocking confession with one TikTok user writing: "Oh no bc I’d have to throw the whole bottle away. How are you drinking comfortably from that!!!"

"Do what you want fr but mould can make you really sick sometimes," warned a second.

A third quipped: "Nah this is crazy."

"I have this same water bottle and that piece of rubber comes out and it doesn’t take long please wash it," urged a fourth while a fifth revealed: "That’s insane, I threw away my jug bc it was mouldy at the bottom."

Another slammed: "That is hella hella rancid."

And a final critic echoed: "The way my jaw dropped when I saw the mould I couldn’t never keep drinking out of that."

Others, however, admitted to the bad habit themselves.

"Ur so real for this," praised one TikTok user while a second wrote: "No because I do the same thing."

A third revealed: "Yeahhhh I do the exact same thing."
