After spending so much time putting up your decorations for the festive season, it can be difficult to know when the right time is to take them down.

Well, we know what’s apparently the wrong answer, and that’s on Christmas Day.

Online commenters recently slammed a couple who decided to pack up their tree and decorations at 3:30pm on Christmas, so that they could have the room nice and tidy.
Now, they’ve hit back at the trolls for judging how the decided to clear away the decorations.
Dubbing the commenters as ‘pathetic’, Lew and Em took to their TikTok account, known as The Grego Family, to share exactly that they think of the backlash.

After the couple shared a snap of themselves in their empty living room on Monday evening, it all hit the fan.
In the clip, Lew looks confused at Em vacuuming the carpet in their empty room.
The text said: "Apparently Christmas finished at 3.30pm today. Tree and decorations down, big deep clean, someone's nesting."
The text is a referent to Em, who is heavily pregnant wanting to clear up the Christmas clutter as soon as possible.
Lew added in the caption: "She's also planning on painting tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone!"

The TikTok went on to receive massive amounts of hate from users who thought that the pair were being ridiculous and scrooge’s by taking down their decorations on the day of celebration.
However, the couple swiftly turned off their comments on the video and created their own reaction to the backlash the very next day on Boxing Day.
They said: "If you want to take your tree down today or in three months' time, that's your decision.
"Everyone is different. I don't understand why people get so triggered and have to have an opinion on everything.

"Social media has made everyone very secure in sitting behind a screen and projecting their unhappiness without any consequences. If a man wants to wear a skirt - go for it. If a chicken wants to cross a road - go for it. Some people are so pathetic."
The family, who have over 11,000 followers on the video app, are known for sharing their daily routines and events, as well as showing off their dogs and little boy.
However, the family aren’t the only people to decided to take down Christmas decorations on Christmas Day.

A woman who goes viral every year for showing how she declutters her decorations by 6pm on Christmas Day, also likes to get her home back to normal as soon as possible.
Georgia told the Mirror: "It's my daughter's birthday on Boxing Day and if it was me, I'd hate the tree being up.
“So I try and make it as normal as possible for her special day. I've done it every year so she knows no different, and she's never requested or questioned it.
“If I wasn't her birthday, I would have them up for longer."
Really, it’s down to personal preference when you take them down, isn’t it?
