Kerry Katona breaks down in tears over David Beckham Netflix doc

Kerry Katona breaks down in tears over David Beckham Netflix doc

The TV personality took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the series

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last few days - then you'll know that all anyone can be talking about right now is the brand-new doc that's just come out all about one of the most iconic families in Britain.

The Netflix doc Beckham dropped on the streaming platform last week and sees David and Victoria open up about a whole plethora of hardships they've faced in their relationship - including the alleged 'affair' with former glamour model, Rebecca Loos, with the couple saying that the media attention at the time was the 'hardest period' for both of them.

The series has clearly made audiences - fans and fellow celebs alike - become a tad weepy, and Kerry Katona is no exception.

A synopsis for the doc, which premiered on the streaming platform last Wednesday (4 October), reads: "Beckham, a four-part documentary series, tells the inside story of a global football star and cultural icon.

"David Beckham is one of the most known names on the planet, yet few people know who he really is. From his humble working-class beginnings in east London, his drive and determination to win, and the battle to find balance between ambition, love and family, David’s story is one of immense ups and downs.

"The series takes you on that rollercoaster and builds a surprising, personal and definitive story of one of the most recognisable and scrutinised athletes of all time.

"The result is an intimate portrait of a man as well as a chronicle of late-modern sports and celebrity culture."

And what a rollercoaster it was - given the Atomic Kitten star's teary-eyed reaction after completing it.

Kerry took to Instagram yesterday (8 October) to share with her 821k followers exactly what she thought about the latest doc, which grants viewers 'unprecedented access' to the Beckhams, to hit the streaming platform.

She uploaded a selfie with tears streaming down her cheeks with a very unhappy frown, captioning the post: "After watching The Beckhams!!!!"

The 43-year-old mum-of-three then tagged Posh Spice and wrote 'wow' alongside a series of heart emojis, adding: "What a woman and @davidbeckham what a man!"

She continued to praise: "Not many people would get through that!! And many of us didn’t get through the hell of the press when it was at its worse!

"Nothing but respect."
