The night we have all waited for has finally arrived - the Sanderson Sisters are back and better than ever! The original cast of the Disney classic Hocus Pocus are reuniting on Friday for a virtual Halloween party - get excited!

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy announced they would be reforming their coven last month and fans have been waiting with their broomsticks at the ready ever since.

The Halloween party is actually a 'Hulaween' fundraiser in aid of the New York Restoration Project. With trick-or-treating virtually impossible for many people around the world due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the digital event has been dubbed the 'hottest pandemic-safe Halloween event of the year'.

You can purchase a ticket for In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover here and you'll receive a streaming link in your email to view the hotly anticipated show. Tickets cost $10 (£7.70).

The New York Restoration Project was originally set up by Bette Midler to transform open space for communities across the city's five boroughs.

Hocus Pocus was originally released in 1993, and while it wasn't the box office smash at the time, it has since acquired a loyal fan base over the years on account of its hilarious cast and charm.

The film sees three witches - Winifred Sanderson (Bette Midler), Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary Sanderson (Kathy Najimy) - summoned back to the mortal world of modern day Salem on the night of Halloween, 300 years after being hanged.

Also joining In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover are Jamie Lee Curtis, Billy Crystal, Glenn Close, Martin Short, Jennifer Hudson, John Stamos, Meryl Streep, Adam Lambert, Sarah Silverman, Michael Kors, Kenan Thompson, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, George Lopez, Todrick Hall, Bette Midler's daughter Sophie Von Haselberg and many more.

Doug Jones announced on Thursday he is also set to take part in the fun, by reprising his role as Billy Butcherson! The actor has shared a video of himself on Twitter in some terrifyingly terrific zombie make-up and a scruffy black wig, revealing that he's back working with his Hocus Pocus make-up artist Tony Gardner.

"You didn't expect to see me in this make-up again did you?" he said. "But look, I'm with my original make-up artist Tony Gardner!"

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (played by Cassandra Peterson) will host the show.

In other Hocus Pocus related news, a sequel has been in various stages of development for many years. In March this year Adam Shankman, who directed the 2007 adaptation of Hairspray, was hired to direct Hocus Pocus 2 for Disney+.

Hopefully there are more reunions on the horizon!
