Celebrity Gogglebox USA is set to air on E4 this month, with stars including Meghan Trainor and Rob Lowe giving us access to their living rooms as they chill out and watch their favourite TV programmes.

The armchair telly show, which first became popular over here in the UK, is now a hit Stateside, too.

And - to ease the coronavirus boredom - we're being offered a chance to see how they do it over the pond, and catch a glimpse of some of the telly taking America by storm.

Celebrity faces joining Meghan and Rob on Fox's Celebrity Watch Party include teenage sitcom star Raven-Symone (from That's So Raven), rappers Master P and Romeo, and sportscaster Joe Buck.

Also appearing will be American dancer JoJo Siwa and technology whizz Steph Wozniak - better known as Woz.

Plus, Australian born celebrity chef Curtis Stone and ballroom dancers Robert and Kim Herjavec will also join the lineup.

More names are set to be revealed in the coming days.

The series, produced by Studio Lambert, will be structured similarly to the UK version, featuring the celebs as they share their thoughts on the biggest TV shows around and topical news stories on TV in the US.

The UK's Celebrity Gogglebox has previously seen the likes of Peter Crouch and Abby Clancy, Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani and Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne take to the sofa.

Karl Warner, Controller of E4 said: "Gogglebox is the constant comfort everyone's loving at the moment and I'm thrilled we're able to offer America's take on it with some of its biggest stars exclusively on E4 and All 4."

It comes as the UK version of the show came under fire recently, when some accused the contestants of failing to keep social distancing guidelines.

Some even complained to Ofcom after accusing contestants of meeting up in separate households to film.

Now, they've added a disclaimer at the start of the show, and the narrator can be heard saying: "Just in case you're worried, they are all keeping to the guidelines of social distancing."

A spokesperson for Channel 4 told MailOnline: "Most of the families live together but where they don't, they are complying with PHE social distancing guidelines.

"Gogglebox will only film with families where it's safe to do so. The health and safety of our cast and crew are paramount."

Celebrity Gogglebox USA starts on E4 on the 13th May at 9pm and will run for ten weeks.
