Morrisons Has Launched A £5 Strawberries And Cream Flavoured Wine

Can you think of anything more summery than strawberries and cream? Maybe a chilled glass of wine. Morrisons has decided not to try and choose between the two by launching a product that combines both - fizzy wine that tastes like strawberries and cream.

With 'refreshing strawberry fruit flavours and smooth cream notes,' the Garden Party Strawberries and Cream Fruit Fizz is made with 100 per cent natural flavours and is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

It's designed for enjoying chilled on its own, or as part of a delicious gin cocktail with added fruit.

Morrisons has launched the limited edition fizz just in time for Wimbledon and the sparkling wine buyer at Morrisons, Stefan Kazmarczyk, is clearly hoping the wine is a hit with tennis fans this summer.

He said: "This fizz is an ace with a refreshing flavour that makes it a perfect garden party drink. We hope our customers serve it up this summer."

The Garden Party Strawberries and Cream Fruit Fizz cost £5 and is available now in 350 Morrisons stores. You can find your nearest branch using the Morrisons store locator.

If this doesn't take your fancy but you love twists on traditional drinks, have a look at the other drinks we've found this summer. At M&S we've found Ginking Rosé - a combination of a sparkling pink rosé wine and gin - that's £13 a bottle.

The nation's gin fans are spoilt for choice when it comes to quirky new versions of the popular spirit. Cider brand Kopparberg has branched out into the gin game with the development of a mixed fruit gin infused with unusual flavours like botanical juniper, lemon zest and coriander as well as raspberry and blackcurrant.

Tesco is offering a glittery Rhubarb and Rosehip Gin that's just £6 a bottle while Aldi shoppers can get their hands on a Parma Violet flavour - also spiked with a hit of shimmer.

Those preferring a citrus taste should head to ASDA where Verano gins are available with a cheeky Spanish Watermelon or Spanish Lemon twist.

And if you really want to get into the wine spirit, why not give the Surrey Bacchus Marathon we've already reported on, a go? Named after the Greek God of "wine, fertility, and ritual madness", the running challenge boasts 10 wine breaks and 12 wines for participants to try over the full marathon through the Dorking-based vineyard, making it a very merry experience altogether.
