There's nothing better than a naughty trip to the chippy at the weekend.

But if you want to mix up your usual order of fish, chips and curry sauce, then Morrisons is selling a delicious alternative.

The supermarket now stocks the perfect veggie pairing for chips on its shelves and online - beer battered halloumi.

A pack of the yummy stuff is available from the supermarket giant for just £2.50. There's also a three packs for six quid offer on at the moment, meaning you can stockpile without your bank account taking a huge hit.

Even better, it's all vegetarian society approved, meaning you can ensure that your dinner's completely veggie without any worries about the oil that it has been cooked in.

The squeaky halloumi has been coated in an booze-infused crisp batter made from black sheep ale.

These will cook quicker than you'll be able to do a round trip to the local chippy tea, as they only need 14 minutes in your oven. Winner winner, halloumi dinner.

If, like us, you can't get enough of the cheese, then Lidl is also selling halloumi burgers for just £1.99.

That's right, you can get you paws on slices of halloumi to enjoy on top of a juicy burger or just on their own at a BBQ.

And over at Wetherspoons, the pub chain has just added halloumi fries to its menu.

The cripsy, cheesy fries are served with a sweet chilli dip and some rocket on the side, although the only part we honestly care about is the halloumi

According to Joyscribe, the delicious treat is just as cheap as you would expect from good ol' Spoons, as you can grab a plate of the fries for just £3.10.

It doesn't look like our obsession with halloumi will by dying down anytime soon!
