Exciting news for KitKat fans. If you thought it couldn't get better than the classic chocolate version of the biscuitty snack then think again, because a brand new white chocolate and caramel KitKat is hitting shelves next month.

Yep, Nestlé is finally launching the deliciously decadent KitKat Gold in the UK - and it looks seriously incredible.

The snack will still take the form of a four-finger wafter biscuit, and there will be a milk chocolate base like normal.

However, the bar is topped with a layer of caramel and white chocolate for that extra level of indulgence. Yum.

When it launched in Australia in 2018 as a limited edition release, the KitKat Gold was hugely popular, and flew off the shelves.

The biscuit will launch in Co-Op and Nisa stores first, from February 3rd, before rolling out nationwide in retailers across the country on March 31st.

It's RRP is 85p, but this is likely to vary depending on the store that's selling it.

And it comes in at 219 calories per bar - just 10 more calories than a regular KitKat.

Over the years, KitKat has put many spins on its traditional offering, including a red velvet flavour - which also launched in Australia.

The delicious twist on the sweet and tasty classic, named KitKat Red Velvet Whirl, sees KitKat's trademark wafter fingers on a milk chocolate base, jazzed up with decadent swirls of red velvet and cream cheese flavoured chocolate.

This isn't the first gold treat from Nestlé either, as it also launched a completely different spin on the super luxe KitKat at the end of last year, as part of its limited edition John Lewis KitKat Chocolatier range.

Only available for a short time in 30 selected department stores, the dark chocolate KitKat was coated with real gold and set customers back a hefty, £25.

We'll take the new 85p one, tbf. They had us at caramel...
