Zara McDermott has revealed how she was sexually assaulted by a school boy while walking home through a local park.
The Made in Chelsea star revealed she was 'nearly raped' after she was pinned against a fence in broad daylight four years ago.
Speaking about the incident in her upcoming BBC Three documentary, Zara McDermott: Uncovering Rape Culture, Zara, 24, said: "The guy followed me from the high street. It felt like he was from school because I felt like I could see uniform. He had a really freckly face, a really boyish face.

“He was getting closer and closer and that’s when I started to feel a little bit scared. I could hear him shouting things at me.”
Zara said the horrifying ordeal only stopped when other members of public who were also in the park came running over. The boy continued to threaten Zara as he ran away.
Zara added: “I was just so shocked at how forceful he was considering he was like he couldn’t even have been 15.”
The incident took place before Zara appeared on Love Island in 2018. Zara spoke about the assault as part of her new documentary on rape culture in the UK.

The doc follows on from her deeply personal documentary on revenge porn earlier this year, which saw Zara speak about being the victim of sexism, harassment and revenge porn twice, once when she was of school age.
In the new doc, released later this month, Zara speaks to young women and girls about their experiences - from both state and private schools - to try and get to the root of the problem.
As well as chatting to women and girls, Zara will also sit down with boys to learn about their perceptions of 'rape culture'.
