Astroworld: Stop Dragging Kylie Jenner For Concert Deaths, Beg Fans

On Friday evening, the lives of eight people were lost - and many more injured - at Travis Scott's tragic Astroworld concert.

The festival-goers were involved in a crowd surge at the front of the stage which saw victims reportedly being 'trampled', 'drowned' and 'suffocated'. Those killed at the concert were aged between 14 and 27 years old.

Since the devastating events unfolded, details surrounding the festival - including how many were in attendance and why the concert wasn't stopped earlier - have been examined in close detail.

The Houston Chronicle report that before the tragedy, Travis, 29, had stopped the concert a number of times after spotting fans in distress at the front of the stage. It is reported that he begged security to move them to safety, unaware of the true extent of what was happening.

And in the midst of searching for someone to blame, many social media users have cruelly pointed the finger at Travis Scott's partner - a heavily pregnant Kylie Jenner, who was watching the concert with daughter Stormi and sister Kendall Jenner, in an elevated box at the back of the crowd.

Some have criticised Kylie, 24, after she posted an Instagram Story of the crowd, in which an ambulance can be seen parked. The clip has now been deleted. In a separate video taken by a fan, she can be seen looking out onto the crowd.

One person said: "@KylieJenner sitting there on her throne nice and safe WITH Stormi ffs whilst this is going on and she still has not taken it down. What a f**kd up world we live in #ASTROWORLDFest."

And another wrote: "The fact that Kylie Jenner is claiming none of them knew what was going on till the concert was OVER??? I’m sorry where the f**k were you the entire concert?"

While a third said: "Even kylie jenner posting photos of the ambo in the crowd... 'we weren't aware' yeah fu**en right. what bullsh**."

However, many have pointed out that neither videos should indicate any blame on Kylie's part, and in a statement after the event, she emphasised: “Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in any way by yesterday’s events.

“And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community. I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing.

“I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted.”

Defending Kylie, one person tweeted: "Why are y'all even blaming Kylie for what happened?? the poor pregnant girl was just at the bf concert. It's not her fault [sic]."

While another said: "The facts that people are upset at Kylie for not doing anything. People can’t be blaming Kylie she’s pregnant and what could she do she couldn’t go into the crowd pregnant or not."

And a third added: "My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones at the AstroWorld concert. I also hope Kylie is resting and fully aware this isn’t her fault and her stress levels are not high. Keep that baby safe."

While investigations continue into what exactly happened at the festival, on Monday morning, reports emerged that Travis and the organisers of the Astroworld festival have been sued by concert-goers, with at least three people seeking damages for injuries sustained.

Meanwhile, claims have also been made by Houston Chief of Police Troy Finner, that an individual may have been 'injecting' people with drugs at the concert.

"One of the narratives was that some individual was injecting other people with drugs," he said.

"We do have a report of a security officer, according to medical staff, that was out and treated him last night. He was reaching over to restrain or grab a citizen and he felt a prick in his neck. He went unconscious, they administered Narcan. He was revived and medical staff did notice a prick similar to a prick you would get if somebody was trying to inject."

Investigations into the concert continue. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragic events.
