King Charles III left a beautiful tribute to his mother in the form of a note left on her coffin. Watch the video below:
The Queen's funeral took place today, 19 September, at Westminster Abbey where the King was in attendance with other members of the royal family, heads of states, overseas government representatives and foreign royalty.

The coffin was with the Queen's crown, sceptre, Sovereign's Orb and the Royal Standard of the United Kingdom.
The note – which was nestled among a wreath of flowers cut from Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Highgrove House – captured the attention and intrigue of viewers at home.
ITV's royal correspondent Chris Ship shared the message left on the note. He tweeted: "The card on top of the coffin is from the King to his late mother. He wrote: ‘In loving and devoted memory. Charles R’."
The flowers were chosen by the new monarch to symbolise key moments in his mother’s 70-year reign.
The wreath includes rosemary for remembrance and myrtle cut from from a plant grown from a sprig of myrtle in the bouquet the Queen held during her wedding to Prince Philip in November 1947.

English oak, to symbolise strength of love, is also part of the wreath on top of the coffin as well as pelargoniums, garden roses, autumnal hydrangea, sedum, dahlias and scabious.
King Charles’ chosen flowers are all in shades of pink, burgundy, gold and white to reflect those of the Royal Standard.
King Charles became visibly emotional today (19 September) during his mother's state funeral, which was attended by 2,000 people.
The ceremony ended with a two-minute silence and a performance by the Queen’s personal piper.

The Queen’s coffin will now travel by road to Windsor in a state hearse ahead of a Committal Service for the Queen at St George’s Chapel before her family gather at a private service this evening. The Committal Service will be attended by 800 people.
The Queen’s funeral was conducted by the Dean of Westminster and the likes of Prime Minister Liz Truss and Secretary General of the Commonwealth Patricia Scotland gave readings.
During his first address to the public as King, the former Prince of Wales paid tribute to his mother and her service. “On behalf of all my family, I can only offer the most sincere and heartfelt thanks for your condolences and support," he said.
“They mean more to me than I can ever possibly express."

The King concluded: “And to my darling Mama, as you begin your last great journey to join my dear late Papa, I want simply to say this: thank you.
“Thank you for your love and devotion to our family and to the family of nations you have served so diligently all these years. May ‘flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest’.”
