Princess Charlotte has worn her first significant piece of jewellery in honour of the Queen at her funeral today.
The young princess walked alongside her brother, Prince George, as they followed their great-grandmother's coffin into Westminster Abbey earlier this morning (19 September).
Official invitations for the funeral went out over this past weekend, as the Queen's coffin remained at Westminster Hall for the lying in state period following her passing on 8 September.
King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, Prince Harry, and other members of the family were in attendance, along with world leaders such as Liz Truss, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, and US President Joe Biden.

People have been quick to point out the tributes paid by those in attendance, including an incredibly sweet gesture by Princess Charlotte.
The princess wore a black coat, hat, and a diamond broach in the shape of a horseshoe.
Many believe this was a tribute to the princess' late great-grandmother, who was known to have loved horses throughout her entire life, with people taking to Twitter to react to the touching moment.
One user wrote: "Princess Charlotte is wearing her first piece of significant jewelry: a small diamond brooch in the shape of a horseshoe. A lovely tribute to a great-grandmother who so loved horses."
While a second speculates that the broach might've been a gift from the Queen herself: "That's beautiful. Maybe a gift from the Queen."

These speculations were later backed up by The Court Jeweller - a blog about royal jewelry written and edited by the writer and historian Lauren Kiehna - who tweeted: "Princess Charlotte is wearing her first piece of significant jewelry: a small diamond brooch in the shape of a horseshoe.
"A lovely tribute to a great-grandmother who so loved horses."
Charlotte wasn't the only royal suspected to have used jewellery to pay tribute to the Queen as her mother, Catherine, Princess of Wales, was wearing a matching pearl earring/necklace set that was gifted to the late monarch from Japan in the 1970s.
The necklace was one the Queen wore often and that she lent to the late Diana, Princess of Wales, and later Catherine.

Catherine has worn the set twice before, once to celebrate the Queen and Prince Phillip's 70th wedding anniversary and for Prince Phillip's funeral last year.
The Queen was known for wearing pearls throughout her life, particularly a three-string set often seen in royal pictures, like the one unveiled by Buckingham Palace today.
