Goldfish are a popular choice of pet for everyone - whether in big houses and small flats - mostly because they are so small.
However, if you decide you don't have space for one any more, be sure to heed this advice...
Experts have issued a warning against releasing goldfish into the wild because they can grow far bigger than the small goldfish we're used to seeing in fishbowls in our homes.
The warning comes after giant goldfish were found in the city of Burnsville, Minnesota after a survey of Keller Lake, and the pictures went viral.

The tweet accompanying the shocking pictures posted by the city of Burnsville said: "Please don't release your pet goldfish into ponds and lakes!"
Goldfish are regulated as an invasive species in Minnesota and their numbers in the wild are recorded. They contribute to poor water quality in the area by disturbing sediment rocks and uprooting plants.
When goldfish are kept in small tanks they tend to grow to about 1-2 inches long. Their lengths vary in the wild, with goldfish often reaching 12 to 14 inches in length.

In other animal news, the UK's best-loved parrot escaped the coop again.
Chanel the African Grey parrot, who become an internet sensation last year after she escaped her home in Liverpool, has gone missing once more - leading to her owner, Sandra Hannah, to issue an emotional appeal for Chanel's safe return.
"She was out of her cage, but she was upstairs, it had been raining all day," Sandra explained to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes. "My son just wanted to go and play outside on his bike.

"I went out to get the bike, shut the door behind me, and was out waiting for him on the street. He came out straight after me, and left the door open, and I didn't check. Then she just flew out."
Chanel has since been found and is at home.
