Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been released from Missouri's Chillicothe Correctional Center after serving time behind bars for her role in the murder of her own mother.
Communications Director for the Missouri Department of Corrections Karen Pojmann previously told TMZ Gypsy Rose's release today (28 December) would be secretive, with no one allowed on the premises or the parking lot and the exact time of her release kept under wraps.
The young woman is now walking free after being granted parole in September of this year, after serving seven years of a ten-year-long sentence.

It was the horrific tale of torture, alleged abduction and first-degree murder that shook the world back in 2015, when 24-year-old Gypsy was sent down for her part in the brutal stabbing of her 48-year-old mum, Dee Dee Blanchard.
Dee Dee was found face down in her bedroom in a pool of her own blood, having been stabbed several times in what appeared to be a frenzied attack.
Gypsy - who was missing from the home on the night of Dee Dee's death - was initially ruled out as a suspect and was even believed at one point to have been abducted, as she was believed at the time to be suffering several chronic medical conditions - with her medication being found at the house.

Within a matter of days, however, Gypsy was discovered to have traveled with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, whom she had met online.
But it wasn't their recovery of Gypsy that startled authorities, it was the fact that the multitude of medical conditions that Dee Dee had claimed she'd suffered since birth - including leukemia, asthma, and muscular dystrophy - were all false.
What was believed at one stage to be a case of cold blooded matricide carried out by Gypsy and Nicholas soon spiralled into an unexpected story of long-standing child abuse, with many subsequently siding with perpetrator Gypsy, as opposed to victim Dee Dee.

This is because it was quickly determined by medical professionals that Dee Dee had fabricated every single one of Gypsy’s medical records for years - which also included the likes of sleep apnea, an abrasion on her knee which resulted in her needing a wheelchair and seizures.
Dee Dee also claimed that her daughter had the 'mental capacity of a 7-year-old due to brain damage' following her premature birth.
Authorities quickly determined that Dee Dee had forced Gypsy to feign her illnesses - including by shaving her head to give the appearance of chemotherapy treatment, being given medications with adverse side effects and being forced to undergo painful medical procedures.

Investigators believe that Dee Dee was at least partially motivated by financial gain to implement the physical and psychological abuse of her daughter, after she received countless donations from various sources over the years and even received a free house.
The heinous treatment of Gypsy resulted in millions of people calling for her release when she was eventually charged with Dee Dee's second-degree murder.
Though police and courts determined that Gypsy had arranged for love interest Nicholas to murder her abusive mother Dee Dee on 14 June 2016.

Nicholas was handed a life sentence without the possibility of parole after single-handedly carrying out the brutal attack.
Whereas, Gypsy - who had been waiting in another room to avoid her mother's screams - was handed a 10 year sentence.
In September this year, however, the Missouri Department of Corrections announced that Gypsy had been granted parole.
The now-32-year-old was released today, coinciding with the release date of 28 December that authorities initially gave her.
