Perrie Edwards' Mum Deborah Accidentally Let Slip Her Baby News Last Week

Perrie Edwards' fans are still in shock after her surprise baby announcement on Monday.

But eagle-eyed fans noticed that Perrie's mum revealed a major clue that her 27-year-old daughter was expecting a baby last week.

Deborah Edwards took to Twitter to congratulate Perrie's bandmate, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who also announced she's expecting her first child last week.

But Deborah's message of congrats had some very interesting wording...

"Massive congratulations to Leigh Anne and Andre... babies on tour xx can't wait xx."

And fans were very interested in the use of the word 'babies' instead of 'baby'. Posting a screengrab of the tweet on Reddit, one fan wrote: "'Babies on tour' mayhaps more than one baby is on the way?"

Although one suggested: "Maybe she means the girls are like her babies, and Leigh is having a baby too," it looks like fans were spot on, after Perrie announced the news this afternoon!

Perrie shared two images, one of her growing baby bump and a second with boyfriend and Premier League footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate," Perrie wrote.

"Me + Him = You. We can't wait to meet you baby Ox!"

Alex also shared the snaps, writing: "Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? So grateful and excited to become a dad bring on the sleepless nights."

Posting an update today, Deborah added: "Massive congratulations to my beautiful daughter Perrie and Alexander.. I am bursting with pride ... and cannot wait to see my grandchild.. as I said ... Babies on tour lol."

And fans were loving her secret clue, with one responding: "I knew it! You got me making theories about the plural in 'babies on tour' and I started to really think that Pez was pregnant too, OMG."

While another said: "I can't believe you gave it away and we didn't realise."

Aw, congratulations to Perrie Alex - and Deborah! - this is the best news.
