Chrissy Teigen has revealed a new tattoo in honour of her late son Jack, who she sadly lost last month.

Chrissy, who was 20 weeks pregnant at the time, had been taken to hospital after experiencing severe bleeding during her pregnancy. At the time, she told followers she was scared, but remained hopeful.

But just days later, Chrissy and husband John Legend confirmed that their son - who they had decided to name Jack - had passed away.

Now, Chrissy, 34, has shared an image of her new tattoo of Jack's name. Posting on her Instagram Stories, the name 'Jack' can be seen inked on her wrist.

Chrissy recently wrote a heartbreaking essay about losing her baby.

Sharing screenshots of the piece, which she wrote for Medium, Chrissy explained: "I didn't know how to come back to real life so I wrote this piece for Medium with hopes that I can somehow move on but as soon as I posted it, tears flew out because it felt so.... final. I don't want to ever not remember Jack."

Explaining the events of what happened at the hospital, Chrissy continued: "At this point I had already come to terms with what would happen: I would have an epidural and be induced to deliver our 20 week old - a boy that would have never survived in my belly (please excuse these simple terms).

"... My doctors diagnosed me with partial placenta abruption. [...] We had tried bags and bags of blood transfusions, every single one going right through me like we hadn't done anything at all."

Chrissy - who is also mum to Luna, four, and Myles, two - also recalled the moment she was told she would have to say goodbye.

"Late one night, I was told it would be time to let go in the morning," she wrote.

"I cried a little at first, then went into full blown convulsions of snot and tears, my breath not able to catch up with my own incredibly deep sadness."

She also thanked "everyone who has been so kind" to both her and John. Yesterday, Chrissy revealed how her best friends had donated seven bags of blood for the seven used to try and save Jack.

On Twitter, she wrote: "I have the absolute best friends in the world. A small circle but if it were fifty times larger, I still wouldn't feel the love I do every day. 7 bags donated for the 7 used for jack. Love you so much, @kimmiekyees."
