With the iOS 14 update now available for all eligible iPhones, our social feeds are filled with feedback on all kinds of shiny new features - and one in particular is causing a stir.
Ladies and gents, allow us to introduce you to the function currently blowing our minds, which is namely, the 'back tap' feature.
Yep, this simple function that we didn't know we needed allows iPhone users to take screenshots and perform a range of other actions by simply tapping the back of their phone two or three times.

All of which means that when you want to send that all-important screenshot to a mate (incriminating or otherwise) the process should be even speedier.
Double and triple 'back taps' can also be used to control features like volume control, Siri, magnifying and scrolling - and honestly, we feel like we've seen the future.
If you're wondering whether your own phone is eligible for the feature, you need to check if it's in the following list of iPhones that can be updated with iOS 14.

Models eligible for the update are: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

If you've already installed iOS 14 on your phone, you can locate the 'back tap' feature by clicking 'settings' followed by 'accessibility' and finally 'touch'.
You'll then need to scroll down and click on 'Back Tap', which will bring up two options: 'Double Tap' and 'Triple Tap'.
By clicking on each of these, iPhone users can explore the full range of exciting new functions available. Hey presto, you're ready to start back tapping!
The function has proved a hit on social media.
"OK friends, the "Back Tap" accessibility feature in iOS 14 is kinda wild. I set it to screenshot on triple-tap," wrote one enthusiastic user.
