At most car boot sales, the tables are full of hidden treasures and bargains to be found, but this savvy shopper made an amazing discovery inside a box he bought for just £4.
Twitter user Scott Pack tweeted that his dad had recently bought an old wooden box at a local car boot sale expecting the it to be empty.
As Scott said on Twitter, boxes are meant to be opened and his dad couldn't wait to take a peek inside.
When he opened the box, he found a series of old glass photographic plates lined up and scribblings on the lid of the box. Scott joked that his dad actually haggled the seller down from £5 to £4 for the box of treasured memories.

After shining his iPhone light onto the plates, Sam's dad discovered that they had family holiday snaps printed on them with a mixture of serious family portraits and playful test shots.
To try and bring the plates to life, he then took pictures and edited them in Photoshop to turn them into positives and the results are amazing.
One of the photos shows six children posed in white outfits, as well as a family portrait which makes the group look rather well off with fur coats and hats.

Sam shared the images to his followers on Twitter in an attempt to discover more about the images.
He has since discovered that the scribblings on the box do not match the pictures found but they detail locations in Normandy.
A few followers pointed out that a soldier's uniform in one of the images would date back no earlier than 1903. Hopefully, we'll find out the who they are soon.
