Man screams 'no' when his wife reveals that she's pregnant with their fourth child

It's a moment that no man forgets - when he's told that his partner is pregnant and that he's going to become a father.

Usually such an occasion is a time for celebration and maybe even some tears if you're the sentimental type.

But for one bloke, the moment wasn't quite as celebratory.

In fairness, it wasn't the first time he was getting the news that he was going to be a dad - this was his fourth time around.

So maybe a sympathetic person could argue his days of being a dad are over and he was just being cranky.

In the video, shared to TikTok by Anissa Cofer, the hubby is directed to the bed to read a letter left for him.

While his expecting wife watches on anxiously, he opens the letter to find a sonogram picture inside.

What were the first words out of his mouth?

'Oh my god', you might expect.

Or perhaps a stunned 'What?'

They'd be understandable.

He opted to respond with 'Anissa, no!'

Hmm, not what you want to hear from your husband.

Once his wife confirmed that she wasn't joking, he screamed 'No!' again as he flung his head into his hands.

What followed was a series of pleas for his wife to fess up to joking around.

Eventually, he grew so frustrated that he let out one last 'NO!' before leaving the room.

Not exactly the wholesome family moment his wife probably had in mind.

She clarified in a comment: "In no way was his reaction hurtful. Its an in the moment reaction of complete shock. She’s the biggest blessing & he’s the best daddy to our babies."

The TikTok has gained more than eight million views and generated a lot of discussion in the comments section, with many empathising with the husband's reaction.

One viewer wrote: "This is how I reacted to both of my planned pregnancies."

Another TikTok user said: "The most reasonable and true reaction I’ve seen after already having multiple and not really wanting more."

Others, however, felt that the response was hurtful, as one commenter said: "I am sorry he reacted that way, I could see the hurt in your eyes after you saw he was legit upset. I am glad it worked out."

However, that viewer was in the minority, as the overwhelming consensus seemed to be one of sympathy - as many people freak out when they discover they're going to have kids.
