Christmas is only three weeks away and lots of people have started putting up their Christmas trees and decorations - if they haven't already.
We have already noticed an interesting this festive season - people are building their own Christmas trees out of pampas grass and they look incredible.
Cortaderia selloana, known more commonly as pampas grass, grows in creamy white feathery plumes and look very ornamental even when it's simply growing in a field, making it a great choice for an extra festive Christmas tree. Pampas grass can grow to be anywhere between five and 10 feet high and wide.

Pampas grass is native to southern South America, including the Pampas region after which it is named. It grows extremely quickly and can spread and form large masses along roads, cliffs, riverbanks and open areas when it grows undisturbed in the wild.
Madison Quinn, an Instagram florist, posted a picture of her pampas tree decorated with gold and white baubles with the caption, "Deck the halls with all the pampas falalalalalala".
Madison's tree is made entirely from pampas. She said: "My labour of love is ready for her debut, introducing my pampas xmas tree made of literally 100% pampas grass. Maddie & I couldn't help but have a little photoshoot this morning to celebrate!"

Another Instagram account posted a gorgeous picture of their pampas Christmas tree, this one featured longer plumes and even bigger bronze, white and gold balloon baubles. "MERRY PAMPAS", the caption begins.

In another post by the same account, the caption described the design of their unique Christmas tree in more detail. "This 8ft beauty stands tall and proud, created using over 320 stems of pampas grass! Hand painted hues of toffee, caramel, peach and cafe au lait silk flowers, & gorgeous dried & preserved foliage and leafs," they said.
A third Instagram account shared a short video of their pampas Christmas tree in a matching pale-toned room. The account also shared some hilarious tips for anyone wanting to create their own pampas Christmas tree. One of the top tips is "Do not wear black wool, you might as well wear Velcro".
A woman shared a beautifully festive snap of her pampas Christmas tree which appears to have extra furry plumes which kind of resembles a big yeti or an abominable snowman. The tree has no baubles but is wrapped with simplistic, white Christmas lights.
An Instagram account dedicated to 'architectural pampas and interior arrangements' posted a cute picture of a child decorated a pink-ish pampas Christmas tree with a glittery pink star on top. Cortaderia jubata is the name given to the species which produces pink or purple-ish coloured panicles.
