The public are being advised to use 'Ask for Angela' if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe on a night out.
The safety scheme was introduced in 2016, but with bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs beginning to open up again, Havering councillor Viddy Persaud is reminding the public that the safety phrase is there, should they need it.

"Havering is a fun and vibrant place to come and enjoy the nightlife," she told the Romford Recorder.
"We are also consistently one of the safest boroughs in London.
"However, we want to ensure that people know that they can get help if they do feel unsafe on a date. As part of the Women's Night Safety Charter, we want to ensure that women feel safe when they are out and about in the borough."
The Ask for Angela campaign was originally started in Lincolnshire by Hayley Child - Substance Misuse Strategy Coordinator for Lincolnshire County Council.

The initiative allows people to ask staff for a person named Angela, if they feel unsafe on a night out. Venue staff will then call a taxi or help them to leave discreetly.
Posters - which are often visible in pubs and bars - read: "Hi I'm Angela. Are you on a date that isn't working out? Do you feel like you're not in a safe situation? Is your Tinder or POF date not who they said they were on their profile? Does it all feel a bit weird?
"If you go to the bar and ask for 'Angela' the bar staff will know you need some help getting out of your situation and will call you a taxi or help you out discreetly - without too much fuss."
Speaking about the campaign previously, Hayley Child said: "We'd seen that a few individual pubs around the country had done similar messages at the bar saying that if people's dates weren't going well the bar staff would help and call them a cab. We wanted to do this in a more organised way."
