Woman praised after sharing hack to make rusty radiators look brand new

We all love a good life hack - no matter how bizarre.

The latest slightly unorthodox top tip sees one woman being inundated with praise after sharing her 'incredible' method which makes rusty radiators look brand new.

The cleaning maestro took to the Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas group on Facebook to share the hack alongside some pretty impressive side-by-side before and after shots and it's left people well and truly amazed by the results.

"I have seen so many posts about rusty radiators with recommendations to use tomato sauce and tin foil to clean them.

"I always thought it was a bit of joke until I very sceptically tried it today for a laugh really..."

Now, while we all know a bit of ketchup works well with a nice burger and chips, a proper good bacon butty or even, in some dire cases, spaghetti - who would have thought it could earn itself a spot in your cleaning cupboard?

She carried on: "OMG it worked. Before and after pics below! Still not perfect but I ran out of ketchup."

Incase you're unsure of the science-y part, it's believed that the acid in the tomato sauce is what helps break down the rust.

The post has since racked up more than 1.6k reactions with over 200 comments from people eager to weigh in on the odd but nonetheless highly effective hack.

One Facebook user penned: "The thought of metal rubbing on metal sends shivers down my spine, good life hack though."

"The thought of using Ketchup or foil on metal to clean makes me feel so sick," echoed a second. "I just couldn't do it... Looks amazing though!"

A third chimed in: "Tomato sauce and tin foil what now? I need to give this a go!"

"Guess what I'm doing with my day off next week?" revealed a fourth, while a fifth praised: "Very impressive!"

A sixth quipped: "Fab job thanks for sharing. Worth to try on my radiator!"

"Looks great!!!" added another while someone else simply exclaimed 'Wowzers!!!'.

A final Facebook user pondered: "That’s brilliant. I do wonder how the first person came across the hacks.

"Were they sitting eating dinner and thought 'I know, I think I’ll rub my radiator clean with the last bit of tomato ketchup in the bottle and foil'?"

Now that's something I'd like to find out the answer to.
