While a layer of overnight winter frosting might make your garden look like a mesmerising winter wonderland, this type of weather can be a nightmare for drivers.
If you're rushing the kids to school, or you've overslept on the morning of your big meeting, the last thing you want to be doing is waiting until you're bloody car windscreen defrosts.
The previously popular method of pouring boiling water all over your car windows has seemingly been phased out over time, after engineering experts pointed out that it could be extremely damaging to your windscreen.

And yes, using an ice-scraper can be effective at removing the thick exterior layer of frosting, but no one in their right mind wants to be performing laborious physical exercise first thing in the morning.
Of course, if you're out of bed early enough, you can stick the engine on, turn the blowers on full and wait for the frosted crystals to slowly dissipate.
But if you find yourself in a rush, you might find yourself both stressed and stumped about what to do.
Don't fret, however, as one mum has discovered an uber-handy hack that can be used to defrost your windscreen in a matter of minutes.

The genius mother in question - Chloe, who goes by @chloemart15 on TikTok - this week delighted her followers by unveiling her nifty trick on social media.
And it turns out, all you need is access to a tap, and a plastic bag.
"This is super quick and easy," Chloe explained in the now-viral video. "All you need to do is put lukewarm water from the tap straight into a plastic bag."
The mum is then seen dragging the Tesco bag filled with water up and down the windscreen of her car, with the ice layer visibly disappearing and no scraping being necessary.
In the video - which has since spread online like wildfire, gaining over 10 million views - Chloe can be heard emphasising the need to use lukewarm water, as opposed to boiling hot water.

This will prevent you from doing any damage to your windscreen, with a sudden change in temperature sometimes being enough to crack the glass.

But what about the foggy dew all over the interior of your windscreen?
Well, Chloe's revelation comes just days after another expert revealed a nifty little 50p trick to de-mist the INSIDE of any car windscreen.
You won't need to faff around with the air con anymore as this car hack only requires one item available in most shops on the high street - a microfibre cloth.
According to experts at LeaseCar, microfibre cloths, which can be snapped up in multi-packs for a little over 50p each, is one of the best ways to remove condensation from inside your car.

The car rental service explained: "Using a microfibre cloth or paper towels can be an effective option to remove any moisture inside the car. It’s best to wipe in circular motions to avoid smudging."
