Toddlers: cute and hilarious, or a pain in the bum?

I'm sure most parents would say that it depends on the day. If you've got time and patience on your side then their antics probably won't seem too bad, but if you've got things to do and people to see, then the reason it's called the 'terrible twos' becomes a lot easier to understand.

One mum, Justine, caught one example of her two-year-old's antics on camera after her boyfriend returned to their home in Quebec, Canada after picking up the little girl, Juliette, from kindergarten.

'Picking up' being the key phrase here.

The dad appeared to have stopped to buy some shopping on the way home, which he began unloading after he pulled up into the driveway.

As this was going on, the little girl could have run into the house to greet her mum, or even grabbed a light bit of shopping to help out her dad.

Instead, she chose a third option: lie on the floor and do nothing.

Justine spotted her daughter lying motionless from the window, but knew nothing was wrong because it wasn't the first time Juliette had played this kind of game.

The dad was obviously clued up on his daughter's game too, because when it came to dealing with the situation, he didn't hesitate.

In full dad-mode, the father collected all of his shopping in one hand before bending down to grab his daughter with the other.

He picked up her directly by her coat, carrying her horizontally into the home where her mum waited, laughing.

Justine explained: "I took this video from home of my boyfriend and our daughter, Juliette... He was getting back from work and her from the kindergarten. She is a little girl who loves to laugh and make other laughs.

"What's even funnier is that she is more than 3-feet-tall and over 37 pounds heavy and the jacket didn't break. She often does stuff like this and this is just how we love her."

The footage went viral after it was shared online, with a lot of parents able to relate to Juliette's behaviour and praising her dad for the way he handled the situation.

"He wins dad of the day," one person wrote, while another commented: "Both of them have accepted their reality. Definitely not the first time."

Some viewers criticised the dad for picking up the little girl by the jacket, but others insisted she probably 'loved' the move.
