Mum left shocked by neighbour's note complaining about 'disturbing' crying baby

Mum left shocked by neighbour's note complaining about 'disturbing' crying baby

The Australian said her little one had been suffering from 'daycare illnesses' when she received the note.

After caring for her sick child, an Australian mum was ‘shocked’ to receive a note from a disgruntled neighbour complaining about the noise.

It’s reported by Kidspot that an unnamed woman was recently caring for her ill 15-month-old son at home.

But while she was nursing him back to health, an anonymous note was slipped under the front door of her Sydney home.

Unimpressed with the letter, the woman sought out advice from her peers and shared a picture of the typed note on the Sydney Mums Facebook Group.

In her post, she explained why her son had been crying, and queried how other mums would respond.

She wrote: "For the past three weeks my little guy has had on and off fevers/daycare illnesses and as a result has been kept home.

"This week has been especially rough as he's had a fever again and at night he's been waking every two hours because of his blocked nose/cough.”

She then went on to say that her son would scream 'bloody murder' if she tried to 'put him down' to complete chores, such as hanging out washing and making food.

After saying that she was thinking about retaliating in a 'petty way', the mum attached a picture of the snide note she had received

It read: “Please six long months we have been having very disturbing baby crying start early mornings.

“Please find a solution we need our sleep as much as you do.”

The note was apparently posted through the mother's door.

The passive-aggressive notice continued: “I am sure for residents who are closer to you (sic) feel the same.”

Following the Facebook post, it’s reported that users came out in their droves to support the Australian woman.

One group member said: "Put the note on the noticeboard and write a note saying, unfortunately, babies cry and you're doing your best.”

A second agreed and said: "I’d start playing baby crying loudly on a speaker. It's as if they actually think that you like making your baby cry for your enjoyment.”

However, many of the group members encouraged the mum to 'ignore' the negative note and instead focus her attention on her kid

One commented: "I can't believe someone actually did this. Ignore ignore ignore mumma!!! I'd lose it 100% I'm too hot-tempered for notes like this."

A second Facebook user commented a similar sentiment and advised the woman to 'do what is best' for her sick child.

They said: “Just don’t pay attention and do what is best for your baby and yourself. Your baby needs your comfort while sick. Just make sure he gets well soon.”
