You Can Now Get Paid To Drink Wine On Holiday

If you're anything like me, chances are that you're partial to a glass of vino (or three), and now your dream job may well be around the corner.

This is because Majestic, the UK's largest specialist wine retailer, is looking to hire someone to drink wine on holiday - and get paid for it.

The job is handsomely paid too, to do what most of us would indulge in for free as the 'Vintern'.

The objective of the job is to help Majestic ascertain whether or not wine tastes better overseas than from the comfort of your own home.

You need absolutely no prior wine tasting experience in order to be eligible for the job, which consists of a three-day trip to Portugal.

For what's been described as the 'best summer job ever', you'll even get to pick one lucky friend to come along.

Together, you will travel to the Quinta Da Boavista vineyard in Portugal to sample wine from Majestic’s Spain & Portugal Summer Case for three days before returning back home to do exactly the same thing.

You will then answer the question that's been on the minds of Majestic's wine club members. Does wine taste better at home or abroad?

As well as your £600 fee for three days' work - that's the equivalent of £52,000 PA - your flights and accommodation will be paid for by Majestic.

The trip will not only involve wine tasting though, and it will be a true holiday experience featuring a guided tour of the vineyard in a horse and carriage.

There will also be a visit to the wine cellar and barrel room and you will not only get to sample the wines themselves but premium olive oils.

You will also be treated to a three-course lunch, accompanied by wine - obviously.

The ultimate findings from the trip will then be published on Majestic's website.

In order to apply, you need to write a 200-word statement about why you're the right person for the job and submit it to Win a trip to Iberia with Wine Club by Majestic.

Applications for the dream job opened today (August 3) and they will remain open until August 19, so if you're a vino lover, it's time to get your thinking cap on.

After the successful applicant is chosen, the trip itself will be scheduled for some time in September.
