Stacey Solomon’s new series called out by fans for being ‘too intrusive’ leaving them uncomfortable

Stacey Solomon's BBC show Sort Your Life Out is hugely popular with viewers - but this week it was in for some unexpected criticism online.

The show sees Stacey and her team as they help families across the nation totally transform the homes with a 'life-changing declutter'.

However, this week's episode left viewers at home feeling uncomfortable, after some complained it was 'too intrusive'.

In the episode, Stacey, 34, meets single mum Rachel, who is clearing out her home along with organiser Dilly, carpenter Rob and cleaner, Iwan.

But there was one element of the clear out that Rachel found particularly difficult.

The mum explained that she and her husband, Darren, had split up after over a decade of marriage.

"We’d been married 10 or 11 years and I could tell that something was not quite right so I confronted him and he said, 'I don’t love you anymore' and weeks later was in a relationship with somebody.

"But they are still together and they’re getting married this year so it’s all worked out for the best."

Rachel became upset as she came across items from her wedding and Darren's proposal speech.

"It’s just hard," said Rachel. "It’s not that I want him back anymore. It just makes me sad that it was wasted in a way."

Darren later appeared on the show where he helped Rachel and the kids sort through their possessions.

But viewers at home found it all too much, with some saying they felt as though they were intruding by watching.

One person wrote on X: "Too much emotional baggage in this episode. Too intrusive. Not our place to be party to this. #SortYourLifeOut."

While another added: "Both parties more than willing to appear on tv show due to their marriage breakup? How is this even a thing? #sortyourlifeout Bloody hell."

And a third said: "Please don't ever do an episode like this again. The constant slating of the ex is embarrassing and not for TV."

Meanwhile a fourth commented: "Oh I’m glad I’m not Stacey, this must be awkward."

After Rachel, Darren and their kids had sorted out their belongings, the team got to work helping them renovate the house.

And they were blown away at the transformation, particularly the garage which the team had transformed into a dance studio for the girls.

One viewer wrote: "When Dilly said the garage would be a dance studio!! Those girls deserve it so so much!"
