Sandra Martin - who appeared on the hit Channel 4 show from 2013 to 2017 - has revealed her sister Jennifer Anita Richards has passed away.

Martin first appeared on Gogglebox alongside friend Sandi Bogle, before later taking to the screen with her daughter Chanchez Martin.

The star took to her X - formerly known as Twitter - account to break the devastating news, posting to the platform earlier this week on Monday (25 September), sharing pictures of her with her sister.

The first shows the pair in London at a link up in Brixton and the second shows them posing together in fur coats.

Martin also revealed a 'nine night' is being held to honour and remember her sister.

A 'nine night' is a Caribbean tradition, celebrating someone's life nine days after they have died with music and food.

It's set to take place on 2 October at 4pm at Livesey Memorial Hall in south east London.

Taking to her TikTok yesterday, Martin spoke out about celebrating both death and life as she wandered around Brixton.

In the video, the Gogglebox star resolves: "Big up everyone what they're celebrating tonight [...] celebrating death AND life."
