Ariana Grande fans notice 'new voice' as the singer presents award with Wicked co-star

The 'yes, and?' singer has come under fire from Academy Award viewers

Viewers sinking their teeth into the 96th Academy Awards have something to say about a certain celebrity guest...

People are confused after Ariana Grande seemed to debut an entirely new voice. See what you reckon below:

Earlier this evening, the biggest names in film, television, music, and fashion flocked down to the red carpet of Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre to celebrate the 2024 Oscars.

So far, host Jimmy Kimmel has welcomed a host of big-name guest stars onto the stage to award this year's winners.

Oppenheimer is a already a frontrunner – having received 13 nominations and already left with several trophies.

Eyes are also on the cast of Barbie, after both lead actress Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig were sensationally snubbed from this year’s nominations.

Meanwhile, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor but lost to Robert Downey Jr., delivered a barnstorming performance of 'I'm Just Ken'.

Speaking of singers taking to the stage, just minutes ago, we saw 'Thank u, next' hit-maker Ariana Grande presenting an award.

Despite most viewers seemingly eager to hear the 30-year-old reveal the name of the highly-talented winner, it also seems as though a handful of fans were distracted during the announcement by Ariana's questionable voice.

In fact, some viewers have accused the chart-topper - who is set to appear as Glinda in the incoming movie adaptation of Wicked - of changing her voice in recent years.

Ariana previously came under fire for using a supposed 'blaccent' during interviews with press.

Last month, however, a new promo interview for her latest project saw her donning what viewers have described as a 'transatlantic' accent.

Taking to social media, one noted: "Why does Ariana Grande’s voice change every 2 years #Oscars."

Another hit out at the star: "Wtf happened to Ariana Grande??? I really thought everyone was exaggerating about her constantly changing personas. THE VOICE OMG THAT IS NOT ARIANA GRANDE."

"Someone needs to make Ariana Grande stop speaking in her Glinda voice. It's too soon for another Austin Butler situation," a third advised.

Another went on: "Did Ariana Grande adapt a new voice?"

"Ariana Grande really got rid of her previous accent in favor of a 60s transatlantic accent," a fifth asked.
