Fans are absolutely loving the BBC drama

Netflix has really been smashing it recently after introducing a seemingly endless supply of absolute bangers on the streaming platform.

From Baby Reindeer and The Asunta Case to What Jennifer Did and, of course, the gritty crime drama fans simply can't get enough of.

Now, the RTÉ Irish crime drama television series, co-created by Peter McKenna and Ciaran Donnelly, first hit our screens back in 2021 but has, just landed on Netflix as of yesterday (1 May).

It has had two seasons so far and 16 episodes in total - however, only one season is on Netflix at the moment.

It clearly didn't take long for people to catch light of the news and race through the first season, but many were left dying for the next instalment of the series, which follows a fictional crime family in Dublin who are at odds with a powerful drug gang.

Not only does it also boast a near perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, but it also

has a pretty impressive cast, too, starring Game of Thrones' Aidan Gillen, as well as Clare Dunne, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Fool Me Once's Emmett J. Scanlan and Sam Keeley.

We are, of course, talking about Kin.

So, where on earth can fans watch season two of the beloved 'gritty' crime drama?

Well, you'll be happy to know both seasons are currently available to stream on BBC iPlayer and fans are buzzing over it.

One X, formerly Twitter, user urged: "On the 2nd season of Kin. If you've not seen this Irish gangster show get on it on BBC iPlayer. Gritty and some fantastic performances and story."

"Definitely the best drama I’ve watched in a very long time - if you’ve not seen it yet then get stuck in, S1 & 2 are up on BBC iPlayer now," recommended another.

And a final Twitter user added: "Begging everyone to watch Kin on BBC IPlayer or now Netflix so we can get a season three."

Kin star, Scanlan, recently revealed his hopes for more seasons and told LADbible that a third season of Kin is 'very much alive'.

"I know that we had the production company and the production company fell apart and stuff like that," he said.

"So it's there for anybody to take, you know.

"I'd love it to be bought by somebody, the BBC, Netflix, anybody really, I'd just love to continue to tell the story and to finish it.

"So unfortunately, I don't have any, any solid views by that - that's not to say that the thing is, it's very much alive. And it's very much in people's consciousness and the more people that say, the more people that like it."

Kin is available to stream on both BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
