Netflix have been providing us with banger after banger and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
The latest addition to the streaming platform has left viewers with 'chills' over the 'distressing' new drama film starring Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown alongside Angela Bassett, Robin Wright, and Nick Robinson.
The movie - which has since climbed to the prestigious 'No. 1 in Films Today' - first landed on Netflix on International Women's Day (8 March), which is quite fitting considering it totally flips the script on the traditional fairy tale with a princess whose happily ever after relies on some guy.

Damsel sees Millie as a dutiful damsel named Elodie who agrees to marry a handsome prince - only to discover it was all a trap.
The royal family had actually recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt.

She’s then thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, where she has to rely solely on her wits and will to survive.
And Netflix viewers have since raced to social media to share their praise for the flick.
Referencing the ending, one person wrote: "Oh this scene gave me chills and that ending is so satisfying!!!"

A second chimed in: "Damsel on Netflix was iconic! Perfect launch on International Women’s Day. We don’t need Prince Boi we want dragons."

Speaking about the character, Millie told Tudum: "She’s a damsel who doesn’t need to be saved.
"She saves herself in many ways. It subverts what you expect: You’re expecting the prince to turn around and save her, and… no. Don’t wait for the prince."
The 20-year-old actor went on: "I couldn’t draw from anything because I’ve personally never read a story like Damsel.
"With Eleven, I’m able to draw from Mad Max. Or, with Enola Holmes, I’m able to draw a little bit from Hermione in Harry Potter.
"I couldn’t find anyone for Elodie and so I knew I was going to have to create her, find her along the way, find what her weaknesses and strengths are, and really create a life and a journey for her so that everybody would care about her, believe in her, and root for her."
