Piers Morgan’s son has been forced to apologise on behalf of his dad after the presenter took a harsh swipe at I’m a Celeb winner Sam Thompson.
Made In Chelsea star Sam, 31, became a firm favourite among fellow campmates and viewers at home after he went into the jungle.
In the end, he narrowly beat professional boxer Tony Bellew to the win, thanking viewers for their votes.
"I've never had that amount of people need to support me for anything and it's just such an amazing feeling, it’s actually quite overwhelming,” he told ITV’s Lorraine on Monday morning.

“I'm a very, very, very lucky person to have that around me so I can't wait. I owe a lot of people a lot of dinners."
Many fans were delighted by Sam’s win, with many praising his appearance on the show for increasing viewers’ understanding of what it’s like to live with ADHD.
“I’ve never related to someone more and to have ADHD shown on tv like this was amazing,” one tweeted after he was named King of the Jungle.
“Just shows that people with ADHD can do amazing things. Sam Thompson you are amazing.”

Another added: “Sam Thompson has brought ADHD into a new light and I love it.”
A third wrote: “Congratulations to @SamThompsonUK such a deserved winner of @imacelebrity and an amazing advocate for ADHD & autism helping to educate those who still don't understand the world of Neurodiversity.”
But not everything had nice words to share.
Yep, Piers Morgan decided to get involved, and while his remark was mostly a criticism of third-place contestant Nigel Farage, he also took the moment to take a swipe at Sam.
Piers tweeted: "Congrats to Nigel Farage on losing a public vote for the 7th time, this time to an irritating reality TV halfwit in the lowest-rated series of I’m A Celebrity.

“And for ending up engulfed with snakes, an appropriate final humiliation for the biggest snake in Britain."
Many people called out the TalkTV star – including his own son Spencer, who quote-tweeted: “Sam is a really nice and very switched on guy. Would like to apologise on dad’s behalf for this misinformed tweet.”
In a previous post, he also said Sam was a ‘properly good bloke’.
Many others also shared his stance, with one commenting underneath Piers’ tweet: “Ouch! Calling the winner a halfwit when he suffers from ADHD etc. Another shameful comment to add to the list. Please delete.”

Another agreed: “Unnecessarily nasty to call that young man a halfwit. Why would you choose such a derogatory term to refer to him?”
A third added: “What a ridiculous tweet. Perhaps you find Sam irritating as he’s happier than you’ll ever be.”
