Nicki Minaj furiously hurls object at a fan after she was hit herself while performing on stage

Nicki Minaj didn't take kindly to an interruption in her show and was filmed hurling the object back into the concert crowd

Nicki Minaj is notorious for her boldness, when it comes to both her fashion and her personality.

And going by a recent incident at one of her concerts, the 'Starships' singer has not yet becoming a wilting flower.

While appearing in Detroit, Michigan, the rapper was formed to break from her performance to set something right.

Videos shared to social media show the moment Minaj had something lobbed at her mid-song.

It's not a new trend for audience members to chuck something on stage during a singer's set - other celebrities have also been forced to duck and dive to avoid flying items.

Sometimes this is followed by a polite request to stop throwing things, but Minaj took a different approach.

It appeared the item in question was a pink bracelet, but the rapper got seriously ticked off.

Grabbing the object, she hurled it back into the crowd in the direction of the over-excited fan.

When the video hit social media, many of Minaj's fans came out in force to defend her reaction.

"That’s so disrespectful. She should have stop the show and show everybody who did it," one user wrote.

"[She threw it back] she should people don’t respect boundaries.., just enjoy the concert," another commented.

"Honestly Nicki, you’re real for that. I don’t know why fans don’t get it yet. We are not supposed to be throwing things on stage," added a fellow supporter.

"Throwing something at someone for whatever reason is a form of disrespect. especially if you don't know them," a fourth wrote.

Others praised Minaj for her restraint, noting that she didn't throw the mic which could have potentially injured innocent concert-goers.

This isn't the first time that a performer has thrown something back into a crowd.

Last year, Cardi B generated a lot of headlines when she threw a microphone at a fan who threw a drink over her mid-performance.

There was a battery probe into the singer after this incident, but the 'Bodak Yellow' rapper didn't end up facing any charges and authorities had said no crime had been committed.

Speaking to TMZ, three lawyers told the outlet last year in August: "This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi."

Tyla has contacted Nicki Minaj's representatives for comment.
