A comedian has been slammed by Matthew Perry fans after mocking the late Friends star’s death.
The 54-year-old was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday (28 October).
It is believed that no drugs were found at the scene of Perry’s death, with law enforcement telling TMZ that first responders were initially called to Perry’s home for a 'water rescue', with the LA Times reporting he was found dead in his hot tub.

No foul play is expected at this time, but the investigation is ongoing and an official cause of death has not been released.
"We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother,” his family said in a statement.
"Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend."
Indeed, since news of the actor’s death broke, tributes have been pouring in from fans and famous friends alike.

Friends co-star Maggie Wheeler - who played Chandler's long-term on-off girlfriend Janice - took to Instagram, writing: "What a loss. The world will miss you Mathew Perry.
"The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared."
However, not everyone has followed suit.
Kevin Brennan, comedian and host of the Misery Loves Company podcast, has been slammed online for his remarks about the tragedy.

Posting from his podcast’s official Twitter account, Brennan wrote: “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB. HAHAHAHA.”
When someone asked ‘why is drowning in a hot tub funny’, he replied: “Because it’s not very deep.”
Criticising his comments, one Twitter user wrote: “Are you that desperate to try and stay relevant? Until the TMZ article no one knew who you were. Millions knew & loved w/o hesitation Matthew.

“His past didn’t change that, and it made him stronger. He passed away with more class, & dignity than you could ever hope to have.”
Another said: “Comedian is stretching it. Maybe try disgusting human.”
A third wrote: “Some loser writer or comedian has decided to try and get some attention... this one is lower than a snake’s belly.”
A fourth added: “Kevin Brennan @mlcpodcast is an absolutely disgusting human being being.”
However, even after the backlash, Brennan doubled down on his comments.

Sharing a news story that claimed he ‘mocked’ Perry’s death, the comedian wrote: “I didn’t mock it. I just thought it was funny. But I do love it when junkies die.”
In a later follow-up tweet, he brazenly added: “Am I trending yet?”
Brennan told Tyla in a statement: "I stand by everything I have ever said throughout my entire life, even things on Twitter from 2007."
