Love Island’s Georgia Steel confirms split with Toby Aromolaran weeks after making All Stars final

Love Island’s Georgia Steel confirms split with Toby Aromolaran weeks after making All Stars final

Georgia has been taken by 'complete surprise'

Love Island All Stars came to an end just a month ago, and despite contestants spending the series professing the strength of their bond to their fellow Islanders and the general public, couples have been dropping like flies since leaving the villa.

Arabella Chi and Adam Maxted called time on their brief romance, as did Demi Jones and Luis Morrison.

And the latest couple to check into heartbreak hotel are Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran.

The pair came fourth on the show and became infamous for their repeated use of the catchphrase ‘fortune favours the brave’.

The duo caused a bit of stir when coupling up together during Love Island, as they ditched the people they were originally coupled up with for each other after a bit of a rocky start.

At the time, Toby - who had previously tried it out with winner Molly Smith and model Arabella - told Georgia: “We’ve gone through so much in different ways that people can’t even imagine… the bond I feel like we have is so solid and cemented that nothing can knock us.”

Even though Georgia seemingly had a thing going on with Mancunian Callum Jones, she ultimately ditched him for 'old flame' Toby and the pair insisted they were right for one another.

Well, it all seemed worth it earlier this month when Georgia and Toby celebrated his birthday together, posing for loved up snaps on Instagram.

Today, however, Georgia has confirmed that they've called it quits.

'It is true Toby has called things off'

The ex-Islander took to Instagram to share her side of the story.

She posted a statement which read: "After seeing the reports regarding my relationship with Toby I feel it's only right for me to be transparent and truthful with you all.

"It is true Toby has called things off. It has taken me by complete surprise and I'm still trying to process it and come to terms with it all.

"They say some people are in your life for a lifetime and some just for a chapter."

The pair were previously 'locked in'.

Sadly, the fans and Love Island viewers just didn't seem to give the pair a break and were constantly doubting their compatibility and authenticity.

One person commented: “I just can't wait for the break up.”

But another was rooting for the duo, writing: “Woah. These comments are insane. I personally love you and Tobes.”

We wish them both all the best in the future.

Tyla have reached out to representatives of Toby for comment.
