Khloé Kardashian slammed by fans over latest Halloween costume

Khloé dressed up as a Bratz doll for Halloween, but some fans are unimpressed.

Khloé Kardashian has been slammed by fans over her Halloween costume.

The reality TV star, 39, dressed up as a Bratz doll - specifically Cloe - but people online have been left less than impressed.

In photos shared via Instagram on Tuesday (31 October), Khloe wore a yellow ensemble - including a beret over her long platinum blonde hair.

She also paired her look with a matching handbag, which was adorned with the iconic Bratz logo written in crystals.

Khloé also completely switched up her usual makeup style to resemble Cloe, with exaggerated overlined lips and bold makeup.

The Good American founder’s makeup instantly caught the attention of social media users, who are criticising the mum-of-two for looking unrecognisable and 'darker than usual'.

One person said Khloé was ‘10 times darker’ than usual, while another person claimed Khloé wants to ‘be Black sooooooo bad’.

Another commenter asked: “Why is she three shades darker than usual?”

And a few people accused her of 'blackfishing', with one claiming: "how is this not blackfishing."

However, some came to Khloe's defense, with one commenter writing: "Khloe isn’t any darker than the other girls she only looks darker cause of how blonde her hair is"

Another said: "She’s more tan. I don’t think she was trying to 'be black'."

And a third added: "It’s a spray tan I’m sure we all get them."

The term 'blackfishing', which was first coined by journalist Wanna Thompson, refers to when white people alter their appearance - for example, their facial features, skin colour and hair - to resemble those of black or mixed-race people.

She also posted a video of her in her Bratz outfit.

Celebrities, including former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, have been accused of blackfishing in the past.

Jesy responded to the claims in an interview in 2021, in which she told The Guardian: "I would never want to offend anyone, and that was really upsetting. I wasn’t aware that’s how people felt."

The interviewer also added that Jesy seemed 'bewildered' by the accusation.

Tyla has contacted Khloé Kardashian's representatives for comment.

In other related Khloé news, Scott Disick revealed she is his 'perfect woman'.

Scott was in a relationship with Khloé’s older sister Kourtney from 2006 until 2015, and they share three children together; Mason, 13, Penelope, 11 and Reign, eight.

But it is seems that Khloe has all the 'characteristics' he's after in a partner.

In an episode of The Kardashians that aired last month, Scott admitted to Khloe and Kris Jenner that he's lonely 'all the time', adding: "I can't live with just having my kids."

Kris then asked him what kind of places he frequents to meet prospective romantic partners, to which he joked it was usually 'strip clubs'.

"If you had the opportunity to meet the perfect girl," Kris continued, "What does that look like on paper?"

Without any hesitation, Scott then turned to Khloe and asked: "How tall are you?"

"She's funny, she's kind, she's sweet, she's cute," he continued. "She's got all the characteristics I want—that's what I'm saying."
