Britney Spears has taken to social media to speak out about police checking up on her and being 'bullied' in her home.
Spears recently uploaded videos of her dancing with knives to her Instagram page and, despite the '...Baby One More Time' singer reassuring followers they were fake knives, many raised concerns about her on social media.
Spears shared a follow-up post urging people to 'lighten up' - noting she was simply 'copying' a similar dance performed by Shakira - but it seems the concern has led to police visiting Spears for a welfare check and she is not happy.
A spokesperson for Ventura County Sheriff's Office confirmed to The LA Times a law enforcement wellness check took place at Spears' home in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday (27 September).

When they arrived, Spears' attorney and a member of her security team told the deputy she was fine and not in any danger.
In a post to Instagram of a photograph of a ballerina standing on top of knives, pointed into the floor, Spears slammed being subject to welfare checks.
She wrote: "Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on America … we cooler than that, right ??? The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do four minute performances with them.
"I am getting an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH! Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO !!! As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops."
Spears turned the comments on the post off, but fans of the 'Toxic' singer are still flooding to social media to weigh in with their views.

One X - formerly known as Twitter - user said: "Bro idk why I feel so strong abt Britney Spears but I really wish ppl would leave her alone. Imagine her life. Just imagine?! Literally been in the limelight since age 11 &ppl expect her to be normal? All shes known her whole life is dance & performing & ppl scold her for dancing."
"Ableism is seeing people who once pushed for Britney Spears to get out of her conservatorship when that was a hot topic button that made them look good absolutely turn on her and even say it was GOOD she was in it when she does any little f**king thing they think is odd," another argued.
However, a third noted: "That was still pretty alarming though ngl."
