Jade Goody's widower says she'd have been 'bursting with pride' at son Bobby Brazier being on Strictly

Jade Goody's son Bobby is going to appear on Strictly Coma Dancing

Jade Goody's widower has said she'd have been 'bursting with pride' to see her son Bobby make it onto Strictly Come Dancing.

After scoring a regular role on EastEnders last year, the 20-year-old is now going to be strutting his stuff on the Strictly dancefloor in front of millions of viewers.

There are few entertainment shows bigger than Strictly, so this is a pretty darn big deal for his career.

And, according to his late mum's widower, she would have loved to have seen him make it onto the show at such a young age.

Bobby is the son of Goody and Jeff Brazier, and was born in 2003, while his mum married Jack Tweed in 2009, shortly before she died after being diagnosed with cancer.

Jeff recently shared a tribute to the mother of his son where he said it was 'hard not to feel flat' 14 years after her death, calling her 'the most loving and protective mother any child could have hoped for.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Goody's widower, Tweed, said she would have been very proud to see how well Bobby was doing with his life.

He said: "Jade would be over-the-moon proud of Bobby and all he’s achieved. For someone so young he has already achieved so much. Bobby has modelled for Dolce & Gabbana and all the top brands.

"Then he went on to get a job on EastEnders and now he’s appearing on Strictly. Seeing Bobby grow into such a nice young man has been a lovely thing to see."

"He is absolutely smashing it. Jade would be bursting with pride."

Tweed went on to say that his late wife was a huge fan of Strictly and would have loved the chance to be on it herself, suggesting that she might have won it if she'd ever had the chance.

Bobby has spoken about his relationship with his mum before and given a heartbreaking account that he doesn't remember much about her, saying he really knows her 'through other people's memories'.

Joining Bobby on the roster of this year's strictly stars are Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon CBE, Layton Williams, Krishnan Guru-Murphy, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Zara McDermott, Adam Thomas, Nikita Kanda, Ellie Leach, Jody Cundy CBE, Nigel Harman, Annabel Croft and the legendary Les Dennis.

Before even a step had been danced, Emmerdale star Adam Thomas was shocked to learn that he had arthritis which had made his preparations for the competition more difficult, though he insisted he was still really looking forward to getting out onto the dancefloor.
