Amanda Holden mum-shamed for ‘ruining’ daughter’s 18th birthday party with ‘sexy dancing’

She took to Instagram to share footage from the night

Amanda Holden has been mum-shamed for allegedly 'ruining' her daughter’s 18th birthday party with 'sexy dancing'.

The former Britain's Got Talent judge took to Instagram over the weekend to share with her 2.1 million followers a clip from her daughter Lexi's birthday bash, and it's since sparked quite the heated debate online.

Amanda, 52, shared a video of herself dancing to Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 'Murder on the Dancefloor' as she made her way through the crowd before finding Lexi.

Have a look:

She captioned the clip: "The latest trend. #murderonthedancefloor @lexi.hughes_official 18th … enjoy 😂 the entire long version with all guests is on my TikTok account…"

Some people were clearly not too amused by Amanda's partying with one Instagram user hitting out: "Mmmmm best leave it to the youngsters."

"Mum at 18th birthday party!! Stealing show bit cringy," slammed a second while a third chimed in: "Oh dear MUM ... Me thinks you don't know your place. It's really NOT about YOU..."

Another piped up: "The fake sexy dancing and the way she moves people out of the way is shocking."

Others, however, loved Amanda's grooving and praised the mum's fun-hearted spirit getting involved in Lexi's birthday bash.

"Ultimate mum!" wrote one Instagram user.

A second penned: "She’s a cool mum. I wish I was as cool as her. She’s having fun and why the hell shouldn’t she?!"

"Go Amanda!!!!" gushed a third while a fourth quipped: "Looks like a great night!!!"

"Your daughter’s going to look back at this one day and go, 'I love my mum'. Purely lovely," echoed another.

A final Instagram user added: "Shocking comments, clearly people who want to make judgmental comments are the ones who are embarrassing…

"She’s having a fabulous night with her family & friends & let the woman enjoy it… I would be getting down with all my daughter's friends too!!! Enjoy life, share love not hate!"

Amen.

In other Amanda-related news, the Heart Breakfast radio host recently confessed she hates wearing clothes as she admits she’s 'basically a nudist'.

Many fans rushed in to defend Amanda against the 'judgmental' hate comments.

She took to Instagram to share exactly why she preferred to be in the buff.

This comes after the TV star shared a clip from her new BBC One show Amanda & Alan's Italian Job, with bestie, Alan Carr.

The official BBC premise for the doc reads: "Besties Amanda Holden and Alan Carr roll up their sleeves to bring crumbling Italian homes back to life.

"As they embrace the local lifestyle, it's demolition and la dolce vita."

All about finally getting round to a long-held ambition, Amanda purchased the properties in the picturesque Sicilian town, Salemi, and convinced Alan to join her in spending a summer renovating them.

"I hate wearing clothes," Amanda can be heard saying in the clip as she walked around Sicily with Alan, to which he joked: "You are basically a nudist!"

Amanda agreed before admitting: "I am actually."
