To All The Boys I've Loved Before Sequel Officially Confirmed

Lara Jean (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) melted everyone's hearts when their fake romance blossomed into a beautiful relationship in Netflix original To All The Boys I've Loved Before, and we could be about to see their relationship progress in a sequel.

Although details are still pretty vague, a sequel to the hit film has officially been confirmed and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the follow-up film is 'one of the first being discussed' as part of Paramount Pictures and Netflix's new multi-picture deal.

While the end of the first movie wrapped up pretty nicely, the final recipient of Lara's love letters, John Ambrose McClaren, did pop up after the closing credits of the film, so perhaps that's the journey the storyline will take.

The cast has not yet been announced but we'd expect Lana Condor and Noah Centineo to reprise their lead roles, alongside Janel Parrish as Lara Jean's older sister Margot, Anna Cathcart as Lara Jean's younger sister Kitty and John Corbett as Lara Jean's dad Dr. Covey.

"Relationships are hard to navigate and they'll find themselves in one. And they'll discover what the next person might bring in John Ambrose McClaren," director Susan Johnson told ET.

"We're so invested in Peter and Lara Jean, that seeing them go through struggles is going to be hard but also something everybody can relate to. The next shiny face comes in and you're like, 'Oh shoot, this guy's really nice too. What do I do?'"

The first film was based on the 2014 novel of the same name, by Jenny Han, but it's unknown if the second film will follow the second or the third book in the series - or perhaps both.

John Ambrose McClaren is a big character in the second book PS I Still Love You, so it'll be interesting to see which direction the film goes in.
